Yo Pasta Mama

Cooking has always been a haven for my creative ramblings and passions. At the ripe age of six, my grandmother, Estela Casanova, taught me to boil water on a small toy stove. She was a big fan of spaghetti. I never knew what a puzzle this was until I came to America. I thought all Latinas, especially those who had never been to Italy, knew about pasta. All I learned about love, life and cooking, I learned from my grandmother. And with age the joys of cooking have helped me understand the bounty of the world and the beauty of its foods and its people. All Recipes and Photographs © 2008 Yo, Pasta Mama™
